Greetings. I want to take a minute to make a couple of comments.
First off, your store is a delicious slice of heaven for those like myself who get a natural high from discovering such wonderful treasures. Not only do the riding boots add a sense of unexpected fun in my foyer, but so do the stools. Thank-you for offering them at such a fair price. My hats off to you for having that rare gift for spotting the perfect eye candy and making it available to those who appreciate their beauty. Who ever said perfection is impossible, has yet to enter your store.

Dear Scott,
I would like to thank you for all you have done during the past two years of us purchasing furniture, flooring, doors, folk art and architectural items from your company to furnish our home and our Foundation offices. The quality of every piece has been exceptional. We have received amazing feedback from clients and guests alike. The universal reaction when they see our offices or basement renovations is disbelief that we could achieve such an amazing look and usability with 100+ year old pieces.
With our offices, the furniture has given a completely unique feel and look to what has become, for the average office, a very homogenous and generic space. Everyone who visits the office comments on its warmth and describes it as one that would be in someone's home, not in the middle of an relatively modern building in Yaletown. Even with tables that have limited internal storage and were obviously not designed to be desks, by choosing accent pieces that have extra storage space we obtained complete functionality. Of course, since the items are already well used and have over a hundred years of character built into them, any normal wear and tear only adds to the beauty of the pieces. And from an economics point of view, they will continue to hold their value, whereas the typical office furniture will depreciate to basically zero over a very short time.
As for our basement renovation, combining the practicality of necessity of the new products (granite counters, dishwasher, fridges, media electronics, etc) with the character of the items purchased from your store (9" reclaimed hardwood floors, large stepback from Manitoba behind our bar, axe-hewn beams, front door from Quebec for the entrance to our wine cellar, old hotel sign from Saskatchewan and antique golf clubs) all add to an incredible pub-like experience. Without the items from your store, this look would be basically unachievable.
Thank you again for the great effort, quality workmanship and incredible level of service that you and George provided to our family. We very much look forward to obtaining further items from you as our needs arise.
All the best,
Chuck Vidalin

I have been a customer of Scott's for over ten years. During this time he has demonstrated a willingness to help me acquire outstanding pieces of Early Canadian Furniture with my benefit in mind. I certainly feel fortunate to have been a customer for so long.

When we first started collecting, we knew absolutely nothing about Canadiana. Scott came highly recommended to us by a friend and business colleague who is a highly skilled collector and who assured us that Scott would take good care of us. Scott's passion, willingness to pass on his vast industry knowledge to even the most un-initiated, and his innate sense of fair play resulted in our having developed a virtually exclusive relationship with Old Canada Country Antiques and having filled a 6,000 square foot historic ranch house with the most stunning pieces of Canadiana furniture, architectural elements and folk art. Every visit to one of Scott's shops is a delight and to take home one of his pieces is to bring home a piece of Canadian history.
